The Original Red Light Infrared Sauna
Patented Variable Optics™ Red Light Therapy. Inside or Outside the Sauna.
For nearly 30 years, Clearlight has pioneered advanced infrared wellness for the home. In 2019, we became the first infrared sauna company to bring red light therapy directly into the sauna environment — creating an effortless way to experience infrared heat and targeted light therapy together in one session.
Today, that innovation extends well beyond the sauna. Clearlight Red Light Therapy Towers bring powerful, medical-grade light therapy into your daily wellness routine, whether you want to layer red light with infrared heat or experience it entirely on its own.
Available in PERSONAL, CORE and FULL BODY sizes, each system combines medical-grade LEDs with our patented Variable Optics™ technology to deliver targeted 650nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light with exceptional intensity and coverage. Choose the size and setup that fits your body, your space and the way you want to experience red light therapy at home.

For an all-in-one wellness experience, our CORE Tower can be attached to the door of our infrared saunas, while the PERSONAL Tower (designed for spot treatment use on your face, hands, feet, arms or any smaller area of your body) and the FULL BODY Tower (covering head to toe) are best used as a standalone light therapy systems.
Providing the most proven and effective therapeutic wavelengths to the entire body, Clearlight Red Light Therapy reduces oxidative stress and stimulates the production of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). This process, known as Photobiomodulation, has been extensively researched for many years and adds measurable energy to the mitochondria of your cells.

Patented Variable Optics™ Technology
Not all red light reaches your body in the same way, and not all red lights are designed the same. Clearlight’s patented tech combines multiple optical angles from 7° to 60° to deliver both concentrated, targeted light and broader coverage within the same system. Whether you’re focusing on a specific area or settling in for a larger treatment, Variable Optics™ helps deliver the right combination of precision, coverage and intensity. This intelligent design allows for greater light absorption by the skin, delivering more benefits in less time with each session.
In 2019, Clearlight became the first infrared sauna company to bring red light therapy into the sauna environment, creating a new way to experience two complementary wellness technologies in one session. Building on decades of expertise in infrared therapy, we integrated targeted red and near-infrared light into the sauna experience to make therapy layering simple, seamless, and accessible at home. Today, that same innovation powers our full range of standalone and sauna-integrated red light therapy solutions.
From how infrared therapy works to what sets Clearlight apart, here are the answers people ask most before they buy.
While competitor products rely on a single optical output at 30°, Clearlight products like our Red Light Therapy towers boast a combination of 7° to 60° adjustable optics, delivering the widest range of healing light angles on the market. This intelligent design allows for greater light absorption by the skin, delivering more benefits in less time with each session.
With our Variable Optics™ technology, your body receives precise, pin-pointed light for targeted therapy on specific areas, as well as light for a comprehensive whole-body treatment. It's a transformative approach to healing that ensures you get the most out of every session. Target specific areas with pinpoint precision or embrace full-body therapy, the choice is yours.
There are no known side effects to red light therapy when used as directed.
*Red Light Therapy Contraindications
If you have a serious health condition or chronic illness, consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting any new therapy, including red light therapy, to address medication and other concerns.
RLT is generally safe and painless, with few side effects reported. However, some individuals have experienced headaches, irritability, or eye strain as minor side effects.
If you have bipolar disorder, consult your doctor before pursuing red light therapy, as there have been rare cases of RLT triggering mania in bipolar patients. The main cause of these risks is intense light or brightness, which can be mitigated by protecting your eyes during RLT sessions and avoiding direct eye contact with the light.
If you have photosensitivity due to conditions like lupus or are on photosensitive medications, it's advisable to avoid red light therapy.
Remember, you know your body best—if you notice any changes or have concerns during red light therapy, don't hesitate to consult your doctor. Trust your instincts!
Red light therapy is less invasive and operates at lower energy levels, making it suitable for regular use and targeting a wider range of wellness applications compared to laser therapy.
Your red light session will depend on how close you are to the unit. If you are within 6" of the red light, we recommend a 15-20 minute session per treatment area. If you are 12"+ from the red light, we recommend a 20-30 minute session per treatment area. You can't really overdo it, but sessions longer than noted above may not bring you additional benefits.
No, special eye protection is not necessary. Clearlight Red Light Therapy can be used without eye protection, and standard sunglasses provide adequate protection. We include optional goggles with our products for added comfort during the adjustment period.
Red light therapy has shown promising benefits in wound healing. However, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional for specific guidance on using red light therapy for fresh wounds or injuries. They can provide personalized advice based on your condition and the stage of healing.
